This book chronicles how he met Mother Teresa and became engaged with her heroic efforts to "see Christ in the distressing disguise of the poor," work that he continues to this day.

Why do I love this book?

Because it’s honest. Jim Towey is truthful about his journey, where he began spiritually, and where his relationship with Mother brought him.

My friends, when you find a story written honestly, you can give it to anyone. This book is that way. I ordered six copies of this book for my family members who do not practice their faith.

To me, this account reflects what Catholicism hopes to be in all of us. It also inspires because, again, it is a story about a real faith journey, as well as an honest, close up glimpse of Mother Teresa as a funny, devoted, and yes, also suffering woman, who never took her eyes off her job.
